GPS Jamming and Trans Atlantic Flights

It appears Russia may be the source of this Jamming.

Here is a video I watched recently that explains gps jamming. I can see why Russia would be doing it. The technology is indiscriminate so targeting hardware that is harmful to them also targets non harmful hardware.

Russia doesn't care who gets hit with this.
Passenger planes from "unfriendly" nations probably seem like a legitimate target to Russia's leadership.

Russia is always at war. West considers war only when bombs start to fall.
This is surprising as snow in January.

On the RH side of the HUD and the Primary Flight Display, there is an EPU (Estimated Positional Uncertainty) indication. When GPS is
'way off' this number changes, and the EPU window in the Primary Flight Display turns yellow, and a CAS message pops up, along with an aural warning.

In the case of larger corporate jets, accurate navigation is maintained by 3 separate Inertial Nav Units. No GPS required.

We have to install anti jamming on ships for specific regions …

We can dispatch with no GPS ( IRS NAV ) as long as the flight is not more than 6.2 hours over water ( radio updating ).
