As a 1911/2011 enjoyer, I decided to get the SAO Beretta 92XI (9211) tactical with the suppressor sights and threaded barrel. It's a great shooter. Very accurate. Not AS soft shooting as my Tisas DS Duty 1911 but I think once I get used to the trigger and grip, I'll like it better than my Tisas, which I love.

I shot slightly left in some groups but that's me. Tight groups outside of my rapid shooting.

Put 100 rounds of target ammo and 50 rounds of Federal HST 124 +p (HST is what you see on paper).

They were made in the former Beretta factory in Brazil after Beretta left and sold the factory, machines, tooling, etc...to Taurus...as I understand it.
Safety/deococker on the Taurus is frame mounted vs slide mount on the Beretta.
That's what I'd read. That's awesome

A lot of old timers hated them and stuck to 1911A1s until the armories had to turn the last of the 1911s in. -- Real life reference.

How old?? My m9 felt like throwing a hotdog down a hallway in '11. They're too big for my hands though.

Well, they forced me change around 1984? Yeah, it was like going from something designed to fit my hands to holding the wrong end of a baseball bat. They just feel fat and unnatural to me.

After years of carrying and shooting an M9 on Active Duty, my wife chose a 92FS as her first gun. She shoots it very well.

I’ve always liked the ergonomics on the Beretta. I own several 1911s, and love them, but the Beretta is a good gun, reliable, accurate, ergonomic. If she can shoot it as well as I do, and she does, I reckon the 92 fits a wide variety of people.
