Got a new ink last week. Thought I would share this art with you folks. This is only my second but definitely not my last.

The chinese symbols mean "Wood Tiger" which is my chinese zodiac year.

No offense, but it's kind of generic looking, and not very detailed for an entire half-sleeve. Trust me when I say I have a couple of tattoos that I'm not happy with, so don't take my comment too harshly.

It also looks like the poster who asked if you were Chinese had his post deleted by the mods for some reason, which doesn't make sense. No matter the language or culture, the question can still be asked whether you have a familiarity with what you've now permanently adorned your body with. If you don't understand Chinese characters, then the unforgiving people of the interwebs will flame you for it. Me, I couldn't care less. It means something to you, and if it brings you joy that's all that matters.

As an anecdote, I'll say that I knew a guy who would hit it off with pretty well with girls he was interested in initially, but his giant, ugly (trust me, it was terribly done) scorpion half sleeve always drew odd looks and quick departures. Tattoos, while great expression of who we are, are just as easily causes for prejudice as the color of your skin, even though they're becoming more common.

You can also delete your own posts. What happened is Gabe edited his post so now it is completely different.

A friend was trying to talk me into getting an RD butt symbol put on, but I said, NO!!!
Im not quite that rabid.

I saw a woman in town the other day, she had a VW and a Nike logo on her arm.

I hope she got paid for them.

Ouch..

I like the tat though...

I have three tats. But this one is my favorite.

My musky fishing partner "Topwater" Terry Anderson was murdered when I was in prison. He had that musky on his forearm. I got this ink in the joint in his honor.

Tats aren't really my thing and I don't have any, but I hear this a fair amount and don't really get it. Who gives a flip how you look when you're 80?

The ladies, duh...

I have never gotten the urge to get a tattoo but thats just me. The symbols do nothing for me from an art work point of view, but the tiger profile looks good.

+1. When I was young I almost defaced my body with that stuff. Now that I am much older I am so glad I didn't.

Had good friend in the Navy who had "Your Name" Tattooed on his butt.

Was funny watching him make a 20 bet. "Hey I bet I have your name tattooed on my butt."
People were like "I will take that bet"
I always loved it when they payed up.

I have none, but to the OP. Looks pretty good.

I have a fair number of relatives in the States who are USN veterans and are well into the 80s and 90s now. Of course, they got tattoos back then. Not my thing, but I never had the opportunity to serve in the Navy in WWII, either, so it's not up to me to say.

I see lots of young adults with tattoos covering their arms, to me it looks like they want attention with their 'sleeve' artwork. Lots of musicians and pro athletes get both arms covered in tattoos.

I like the tiger but not the surrounding design(s).

Haha...Sanskrit text is whats coming next with most probably an Om tattoo. I grew up worshipping(due to my mom)the God Gayatri Maa and I have written books(again due to my mom)with the Om mantra over and over again(its 17 characters)when I was a kid.
