Goodyear WeatherReady 2 Tires?

Hey neighbor. I think I’d probably go all season over all weather since the dry performance is usually better and they should still be great in the rain. Having said that, I run the CrossClimate 2s because I do love to get out to Tahoe for skiing in the winter and they are fantastic in all conditions.
Have you run these in snow conditions ? Thanks

Yes. Very happy compared to all seasons especially on one occasion driving through unsalted Oregon roads with black ice. Grew up in the Midwest driving cars with all seasons and felt that these kept traction better on ice. On another occasion during mandatory chain conditions on the way to Tahoe, one of my chains broke and so I just pulled them off and continued on and they did great on an FWD sedan.

I want to write an update about my new experience. I have had the Goodyear WeatherReady2 tires for the good part of 3 months at this point, including some seriously horrible winter weather. I can confidently say these are some of the best tires that I have had in my 40+ years of driving. These make my CRV feel so confident in the winter snow, including in the black ice we've been getting in these past few weeks. I seriously think these are better than some of the dedicated winter tires I have had in the past. Also, for their aggressive tread, I do think these are a lot quieter than the stock Bridgestrone Ecopias that it came with, which have a lot less aggressive tread. The only thing I have noticed that may be a negative is the MPG has decreased by about 1, but that very well could also be the winter blend gas causing it as well.

Anyone have any issues with the weight of this tire?
I commented elsewhere and maybe it wasn't the appropriate thread.

I have a Lincoln Corsair and I need new tires. OEM are Michelin Primacy in a 225/55/19 on a 7.5" wheel.

I want to go to upsize to a wider tire. I was ready to pull the trigger on a new set of Goodyear WeatheReady 2 tires in a 245/50/19. Goodyear measured rim width for that size is 7.5" wide wheel.

After doing some research these tires look heavy even compared to competition.

My OEM tire weight is shown to be 28lbs. The Michelin cross climate 2 in a 245/50/19 is shown to be 30lbs. The WeatherReady 2 is a whopping 35lbs in 245/50/19. Compared to competition of the same size it's heavy.

I'm now concerned about adding 7 pounds of rotational mass to each wheel.
Going with the CC2 adds a marginal 2 pounds.

I just checked, both are 105 XL. IMO, Michelin is just a more sophisticated product. And that is expected.
