Goodyear tires

I would have hoped they have fixed the short tread life - Conti, Pirelli and Bridgestone are known to wear quickly. Michelin, Yokohama and to a degree Goodyear deliver close to advertised mileage with some exceptions. If there is one thing that is true, I’ve seen OEM Goodyears go past the 30-40K mark before replacement.

of course, your car and driving conditions vary.
Yeah … got the 2017 Mustang at 52k … The OEM Eagles could pass inspection but Carmax should of changed the tires (and oil) for what we paid … We got the same Eagles to start fresh…
I had a set of OEM GY Wranglers go 59k … only changed because gravel roads were chewing and chunking the rubber.

It seems like their high end performance tires were often OEM supplied on cars like Vettes, IIRC?

(and no idea if that's a good thing or bad thing)

I NEVER liked the base Wrangler tires.. they wore like they were made of cement and just got louder, clunkier, and harsher with time.. although I think they did last 60-80k but you'd be sick of them by that point.

If you drive a real car, you need a real tire. Running Good Years on the SRT? They're definitely catering to the SRT crowd.

Pretty sure the OE summer tires were Eagle F1s. I had planned to run Mickey Thompsons, until I discovered they were made in China.

The ones on my 2014 were Eagle RS-A's, and they were utter garbage, the Pirelli's fitted to the HellCat are markedly better.

Skip the Goodyear Exhilarate. Put them on my Elantra black Friday weekend at a company owned Goodyear tire store.
They stick to the road very good on wet surfaces, but if there is much water on the road

I need to explain. The wet traction is phenomenal in most conditions. I've been on the freeway twice however in heavy downpours and the tires were hydroplaning really bad. I'm a semi mechanic and have a tread depth gauge. I also rotate my tires every oil change. The tires have 6/32 of tread on them. These tires have a very good tread compound with a bad tread design. They did reasonably well in the snow.

Thought the RSA was the all season

Could have been, they were what came on my 2014 SRT Charger, but they were definitely nowhere near as sticky as the A/S 3+ we put on my wife's R/T, nor was the ride anywhere near as good.

I have the Pirelli 3-season on the Jeep and they are pretty good. Similar to the tire that comes on the HellCat.

Goodyear and GM had a relationship for OEM tires - especially on the Corvette. The original Eagle Gatorback and F1 Runflats were developed for it. The Eagle GA that was OEM on many Lexus models and eventually many cars from the Detroit 3 was a joint effort between Toyota(who traditionally relies on Bridgestone and Dunlop Japan) and Goodyear.

I think most of Goodyear’s higher performance tires are German efforts, I was in a Focus ST that used Eagle F1s as OE, made in Germany. Range Rovers leave England with German Goodyears or Spanish-made Pirellis.
