Just saw a Goodyear commercial titled "Forever the greatest name in tires"

Never had luck with OEM Goodyears. Their higher-end aftermarket line, I would consider.

Now that my size is increasingly a Chinesium size, I’m not counting out the Reliant series.

I've always liked Goodyear, especially when I used to watch NASCAR a lot.

This commercial is awesome!:

I want them to bring back the Eagle ST RWL tire for classic cars. The current BFG Radial T/A needs some competition, as prices have gone up, and quality went down. Those old Eagle ST's were good tires back in the late-80s / early-90s, and I personally think they look better than BFGs on a muscle car.

Cooper Cobra Radial GT is another option.

I have a set with 20,000 km.
They are not the absolute fastest tyres available but wear better, probably get at least 40.000 km, probably more like 50,000.
They are a great Street UHP. Do everything really well. Fantastic in wet inc ex TC downpours on the Freeway at 110 km.h.
They are also good value.
The rim protection is excellent and they show many of my wife's attempted murder efforts of the alloy rims, there is even a huge chunk missing in one spot.
I was going to get a second set for wife's car but Yokohama were on sale and she wanted to keep the JDM theme. Yokos are a step up in driver pleasure and performance but probably won't last as long.
Really appreciate this.

I've got a street driven BRZ so I'm definitely not looking for the fastest/most outright grip.

Only one followup- are they pretty quiet? I've heard they are but I figured I'd ask.

They are quiet. On the freeway which is a concrete pavement in some sections I can feel a very little roughness but concrete pavements are notorious for harshness and it could also be the vehicles geometry.
Nothing like the china tyres everyone are now running which scream at 60kmh. Those things have really increased road noise in my area.
Don't get me wrong though, they are an awesome UHP tyre. One of the very best.

I think that Goodyear’s claim on these superlatives is defensible, but as others have noted, Michelin, whose products are more to my taste, is right up there. I would go with Goodyear, as they seem to be involved in historically significant event, like the moon landing, the release of the gatorbacks when the 84 Vette came out, the DeLorean and their motorsports ubiquity. It’s for certain that Milestar, LingLong and Fullway will raise no objections.

I've had only one set of Goodyears over the past forty years.
They were Aquatread 2 tires on a '97 Aerostar and while they didn't seem as good as the OEM Michelins they were pretty okay.
They did get us through a nightmare blizzard drive in the van, so they get my stamp of approval.

I'll add they are one of the very best UHP tyre for a daily driver and do everything extremely well without making compromises such as wear etc. They grip extremely well in all conditions. The only step up is an entry level track tyre and then of course compromises start needing to be made.
