Goodyear RV Tire Recall

Myself, I have never seen a tire being recalled that was last produced 19 years ago.

Think what you want about Jalopnik but they call the G159 the worst tire ever made and it has been directly linked to at least nine deaths.

They are so bad that a 'bounty' has been placed on one's that still exist.

From the relevant NHTSA document:

Any person who owns a Subject Tire not installed on a recreational vehicle can exchange it for $500.

In the end, it is always a cost-benefit analysis for big companies like Goodyear when it comes to things like this, no matter what actually happens. It only took all this time and many lives.
