It's a Fram Ultra ... maybe the previous owner read BITOG.

The black part (grip surface) on the end might just have some oil residue left over. Clean it off well and see if it returns. I don't see any oil drops hanging off the bottom so it's probably nothing to worry about.

That Castrol Edge Professional has good certifications. Use with confidence. No problem, and its a name-brand Castrol synthetic. That company's Edge products are very good. Recommended.

If you can get it cheap enough, go with it in the future maybe. This 5.7L HEMI engine is not so hard on oil where you have to use an MB 229.71 or BMW LL-14FE+ oil, but you could if you want to step up performance in the future, as German-spec VW, Mercedes, or BMW 0w-20 oils are about the best 0w-20 grades around, and would work very well in a 5.7L HEMI. The "0w" part just means its thick but not quite as thick as a "5w" oil would be when its around -20 celsius outside. The "20" part indicates the normal warm weather & hot engine viscosity level your engine needs.

The sticker in my door says 07.2014 so I guess it's before 10/15/14 even if it's a 2015 model.
