Gonna do a pseudo - "flush" after some time...

400 miles into the "rinse" phase:
The engine has become a lot quieter than immediately after the o/c.
It has always idled quiet, but not THIS quiet... i really think the LG flush helped..

going to get the free o/c with MC next sat. probably. will have about 900 miles on the "rinse" oil by then...

Sounds like you had some positive results. Lubegard makes some good products. I think you'll like the Biotech Engine Protectant as well. Keep us updated.

I have thought about using Lubegard Engine Flush from time to time. It is nonsolvent. And I still respect Lubegard products.

The Biotech Engine Protectant seemed to make my engine run smoother. But it was too expensive to use every oil change.

i got it on amazon, $15 a bottle (I know it's not the cheapest, but i ordered a bunch of other, non oil related at the same time, so I got free shipping)
NONE of the retail outlets on LG website shows the flush available with them, so idk where else to find it.

Thanks. It looks like Amazon is one of few places that have Lubeguard Engine Flush. I checked Kragen and Autozone online but none has it and I don't remember ever seen it at Walmart or Pep Boys.

My 250+k miles 1994 LS400 has no sludge but some vanish from looking through oil filer, I'm thinking of using Lubeguard or some Engine Flush to remove the vanish.

UPDATE:
so, after about 1,200 miles on the "rinse" phase with the rinse oil (after the LubeGuard flush), got my free oil change the dealer today...I checked the oil this a/m before going there and it was indeed pretty dark for 1,200 miles, hopefully the LG flush did do something...

For the 1st time ever, the dealership put in MC 5w-20 (!!!) in my Tbird - they always used 5w30 in my car (which is on the oil cap), and although I know that Ford recommends 5w-20 even for older cars as mine (1997 4.6L), I feel a bit weird about it...i did point it out, and the SA says he also owns a 1997 CV with the 4.6L, and 5/20 is what he uses...
we'll see...my car uses about 1/2 quart of MC 5w30 per about 5k miles usually...will see how the 5w-20 works in it...

If I see increased consumption and or noise, I have a stash of VSOT that I horded some time ago...

I plan to run the current oil for about 7k miles, which has become my usual OCI for the Tbird.

I did not see a real need for the Lube Guard Bio tech treatment, as I had planned once...

Should be interesting to see the effects of the flush AND a thinner oil. MC 5W-20 is a good oil, I'm sure it will work fine....

UPDATE (1000 miles on the 5w-20 Motorcraft):

i am LIKING the smooth(ER), quiet(ER) engine - at both idle and driving, and it just feels GREAT!
I don't know how much of this new "feeling" and quietness and smoothness can be attributed to the LubeGuard flush and rinse, and how much to going to a 5w-20 for the 1st time...

At any rate, i think I will be doing a Lubeguard flush (and rinse with a short OCI afterwards) at least once a yr from now on.

I am liking the difference!

PS: oh and btw, the oil level remains full into 1000 miles, and the oil is so clear it looks like new oil - i know that doesn't mean anything, but compared with the 1000 mile old rinse oil after the flush, it just looks light and squeaky clean - really does look like LG flush took some [censored] out.
