Going to 3k oil changes for a bit

I just got a new to me 2014 CRV that has an oil consumption issue. I’m going to be running Valvoline R&P 0w20 and run it for 3k; hoping that it frees up the carbon gunking up the oil rings. I’m debating on which oil filters to run. It’ll be a Fram for sure, I’m just not sure if it should be the Endurance or Tough guard. Any opinions?
Run a dose of Gumout Multitune in the crankcase for 20 miles no hard revs and the rest in the fuel with half a tank
 
Time to get back in the swing of it. Shorter intervals are coming back with TGDI, higher Ethanol content and more wear issues with newer engines.

My Corvette has DI but it doesn't have an issue with fuel dilution, and so I'm very confortable continuing to follow the OLM and doing 7k intervals. My Civic isn't DI, and has the non turbo 2.0 so it's super easy on oil, 10k changes are a breeze for it. I'm not going back to 3k intervals anytime soon....
