Not to mention the other perks like rotations and balancing for the life of the tires. The DT in my town has treated me so well that after I factor in the military discount, I don’t even bother haggling them on tires.DT will price match Walmart - no reason to buy a name brand tire from Walmart because DT most likely also carries it.
I will get the low Walmart price - but the DT will install them for $5-$15 less than WM.
They honor their “certificates” with literally no questions asked. My wife bent an axle on our camper and bent a WHEEL like a Pringles potato chip. Needless to say, the tire was destroyed. Brought the torn up rim/tire combo in along with a new rim I bought elsewhere, told them “my wife did this” as I held up the tire, we laughed and in 20 minutes I was walking out with a new assembly. You do have to purchase a new certificate on the replacement tire if you want to keep that coverage. It makes sense for trailer tires (or other tires that get abused), but for regular commuter tires, most likely not.
