TSB on bleeding GM Power steering: https://www.google.com/url?sa=t&sou...FjAIegQIEhAC&usg=AOvVaw0MoMxbFLyu43sZP1chmlXj
My own notes: I notice this is an old thread resurrected so I read all the posts prior to responding; and I notice Tremo, above, talks about "turning the wheel lock to lock a couple times" with the front wheels off the ground. This is absolutely the right idea and on the right track, but, per the TSB, ignition OFF and front wheels off the ground, turn the wheels lock to lock 40 times (on vehicles with long return lines or fluid coolers), all my GM vehicles have long return lines, so long that Rock Auto calls them "coolers." Doing this is actually tedious, it's boring and takes 15 minutes or so, I've done it before I knew there was a TSB on it. I'll wager that there is NO "Quick Change" oil place that actually DOES this.
