My son and I are starting a build on a 2022 Corvette model kit. His favorite color is orange, so Amplify Orange is the way to go.

I've found a couple places online that sell touch up paint for $30+ for one 11oz aerosol. Seems a little excessive, but I may be out of touch.

Duplicolor has always been my go to in the past for this stuff, but they don't offer this color currently.

Any suggestions for where to get a can of this color? Trying to avoid dealer because I'm sure it'll be pricey there too.

How much would a quart from an auto body supply house? I believe they mix any color.
If "Amplify Orange" is a non-metallic color, the paint tech needn't break out the scale or select the proper sized powder.
$30 for the spray can may be your best bet.

If the model kit is made of plastic, it is likely to be polystyrene. Polystyrene and most plastics are incompatible with many automotive paints due to the solvents which can dissolve plastic. I'd certainly do some research before shelling out ~$30 for automotive spray paint. Is there a similar color available in paint specifically designed for models (e.g., Testors, Tamiya) or perhaps in enamel (e.g., Krylon, Rustoleum Painter's Touch)?

My local auto parts wholesaler mixes paints in small container or spray can at very fair prices for retail customers. Just treat them kindly.
