How many miles you guys have on your 2.7 turbomax? 13K miles
How often you change the oil? 5k miles at the dealership
Do you run the recomended 5w30? That's what I use
Any problems so far? Not a single problem
I absolutely love the truck. I daily it to and from work, no towing, use the bed here and there. As per the fuelly app I average 21.7 mpg. It really is a great truck with plenty of power and great fuel economy. This is the most reliable drivetrain in the 1500. I will say to ignore the nay sayers who don't own the truck or drive one regularly. There is a lot of fear of 4 cylinder or having a turbo, but let's be realistic turbo charging has been around for a long time. The engine is rock solid and build to handle the power. What I don't get is why ppl aren't crying of Ford 2.7 V6 twin turbo? More complex and extra turbo but those extra 2 cylinders just make it better...haha give me a break.
Does it sound as good as the V8? Absolutely not but the turbo does sounds **** good. It makes better power and can tow almost as much as the 5.3. I'd say take the plunge and enjoy the truck.
