I've had a quart of Amsoil and Mobil 1 sitting around my garage for about 3 years. Both are unopened GF4 5w30. Since my 1.8L Toyota engine only takes 4.5 qts I've got about 3 qts of PP GF5 5w30 I've collected from leftovers 5+ qt jugs. Does anyone see an issue if I combine it all and for my next change?

Absolutely none. Mix away w/o giving it another thought.

One of the 'requirements' of modern oils is that they mix with all other oils - syn, conventional, old, new, without issues.

Shake them up and pour them in.

I would not mix the differening chemisty Sodium add pack (castrol GTX, Valvoline, Mobil Super, NAPA) with a Boron/Moly add pack (M1, SOPUS) - but you should be OK with Pennzoil PP and Mobil 1 as they have similar DP/EP. Either way they will not gell or turn to water as ADDGUY says.

My eyes were playing tricks on me and I read that as:

What a waste of a perfectly good sip of coffee and two paper towels.

I didn't think there would be an issue. From what I've read 3 years on the shelf wouldn't affect the GF4 oil's properties since it wasn't opened. And all the oils are compatable 5w30s. Running it by those who know more than I....
