Getting Rid of Hard Water Spots?

Any good tips and tricks to remove hard water spots on Windows?

Coworker of mine suggested half dish soap and half vinegar with a magic eraser. That didn't seem to do much at all.

Any help appreciated.

Just keep soaked with vinegar for several minutes and scrub the glass with a scrubby pad and microfiber mitt..

I've had good luck with 50% vinegar & a cotton towel. Wear gloves.

CLR or barkeepers friend will also work.

50% Vinegar works but needs to sit on it for a few mins usually.

Or buy a commerical product.. Meguiar's, chem guys, griot's etc.

Wheel Acid has worked pretty well for me. Cool surface only, 15-30 second contact time, rinse immediately.

5% vinegar seems to be strong enough for my needs when fighting Calcium water hardness.

I've used that in the past with excellent results. Certainly requires more work than spray on wipe off, but it is an actual glass polish that will take the super stubborn spots out.

Glass scrub. It gets the dirt, residue and everything else offers of glass. I used this on customer vehicles when I detailed them. There's Glass Science brand, and Napa has one in a black bottle.

Stoners invisible glass glass stripper. I wouldn't use vinegar on windows. Especially if they have any coating on them.

Half dish soap and vinegar won't work as well as 50% mix of vinegar and water. Dawn dish soap is alkaline and more than a few drops will neutralize the acid in the vinegar that does all the work.

Vinegar IS a weak acid. Acetic acid, about 3.2%. I used it straight on a cloth for the driver side window on my Jetta. A tint guy told me running the wet window up and down after washing was what was causing my problem. It was getting hard to see through.
