Synthetic VS. Conventional
Similarities-
Conventionals and synthetics equally perform at keeping engine wear at bay under "normal" conditions. Normal meaning if you compared two engines that ran under the same fair conditions (Over freezing temps, below 110, moderate idle time, trips long enough to boil off water) the amount of engine protection would be equal.
Differences-
Synthetics are able to more efficiently get into all the nooks and crannies during cold weather starts and are more "stable" at high temperatures. Synthetics are generally able to clean better than a conventional but that depends on the type of add pack that the oil features.
I'm just trying to put this into the easiest and simplest nutshell possible. Let me know where I'm wrong and where I'm right, I'm here to learn so please teach.
