Has these installed on my wife’s Jetta this morning. Ran the stock Falkens all the way to 62K. These are much quieter. I noticed the sidewall is noticeably softer (found out when pushing in the tires). About to go on a 3.5 hour road trip so I’ll report back with any findings. These are 700 tread wear rated vs the 340 rating the original Falkens had, so I’d assume these will last the rest of our ownership.

It is a Continental tire. Expected.

The RT 45 are a comfy grand touring.
But give them 500 miles to break in they may firm up abit.

if you want handling the AS-07 is great without feeling every bump in the road.

Did you fill out the rebate?
70 for any purchase 140 when paid with Tirerack continental, continental, or general tire CC

Thanks I’ll look into doing that.

I just put them on our Honda Pilot. I replaced the original 9 year old tires. I sent in the double rebate, as well as using the Discount Tire price matching. I found the proper Altimax RT45 size (245/50R20) on Amazon for 20% off. Discount Tire matched that. With the double rebate (purchase 4, on the Continental/General credit card), that put the price in Chinesium/Indonesian/Thai territory. Very good for a decently rated tire made in the USA. It's the wife's car. I initially sought an economical SE Asian tire but she corrected this overthought and said only a 1st rate tire. The RT45 is Consumer Reports recommended.

Only about 50 miles on them so far; one sole highway ride. Discount Tire did a good balance job; too soon to tell about anything else.

Back in 2018 or so I put a set of RT43 on my B9 A4 and was very impressed by them. They rode really well and when combined with the Quattro system that thing was an absolute beast in the snow. Several times I had to run a virtual slalom through stranded cars and 4x4 trucks up the long steep hill leading to my house during heavy snow . They never really broke traction unless I called for it while being silly.

Is there something the 43 did that the 45 doesn’t?
Very good traction in rain and snow thanks to many sipes that were quite deep . Used them since they were introduced in 2013 ( 10 years ) . The 43s' were H-rated which rode and handled well . Bought the GENERAL Altimax 365 AW ( V ) in place of the 43s ' . They've been very good since purchase in mid fall '25 . The 43s' and 365AW had / have very little impact on F.E..

I put a set of the AS-07's on my WRX and it definitely improved handling. Ride is decent and noise is acceptable. It's a completely different machine than a Jetta though so it's hard to tell.
