Generac oil filters?

Just purchased a 20K Generac natural gas stanby generator. Brand new but I am already thinking about maintenance. Is there anything special about Generac oil filters? There are a number of substitutes from Mobil 1 to Purolator Classic. Any reason to stay with the original equipment?

Any filter x-ref that is recommended by the filter maker will do just fine.

There is nothing "special" about the Generac filter.

Just type that OE number into Wix, Fram, Purolator, Donaldson, Baldwin cross-ref and get what you want.
