My generator came shipped with a foam air filter from the factory.
I am looking to change it to a paper filter since I've always trusted paper more vs foam. (Maybe I'm wrong?)
Anyway, the air filter part number is 0G8442015 as per the manual (they even call it a paper filter). I've been looking around but can't find any filters that are cross referenced. I see a maint kit with paper filter on generac's site that is for the next model/series up. From what I understand the the next model up, the gp6500 uses the same engine. I also saw a Briggs and Stratton air filter for generac engines but not sure if it would fit.
Anyone out there with more info on this? Any good oem sites?
