I am preparing to change out the gear oil, and tranny fluid/filter in my wife's 1995 Caprice. It has the L99 motor, and it has 170k miles on the clock. What gear oil would you recommend, and what tranny fluid would you go with as well.
It gets driven ~ 50 miles a day, and I would like to go synthetic for both. I was thinking of going with Mobil1 75W140 for the rear end, and Mobil1 Synthetic ATF for the tranny. Any thoughts??
Also, if you guys have any information on capacities, it would be gratefully appricieated.
