I bought some Esso in Canada (I went to Canada to see relatives),
no custom charges what so ever, and
it is not an obscure oil, as a matter of fact, it is easily found in Canada,
easier and less of a hassle then to find GC in the US.

When I bought my Esso, I did not have to
lurk around the Castrol oil section located in a Auto Zone,
sniffing the oil for that sweet allure of the elf’s necture and
looking inside for the green juice before buying it and
being worried about getting caught doing it

You should not get so up tight with our discussions about oil,
we are all here sharing knowledge and trying to help our fellow oil
connoisseurs, there should be other things to get all worked up about,
have a good day.

Here's a question that I hope somebody would know how to answer:

Does anybody know whether xd-3 0w30 WOULD LIKELY acheive the ACEA A3 rating and the BMW LL-01 rating if it were submitted for testing? I notice it has the same cst of (I believe) 12.2 which I think the other xw30's coincidentally have that meet A3 (GC, and BMW 5w30 "Synthetic"..to name a few).

I know it might be a tough question to answer, but I'm interested in using this in my BMW once it's off warranty.

Jim,

I'd have no problem running the XD-0w-30 in a BMW, however I'd change it every 12km-15km and I wouldn't use the factory OLM system.

It would certainly meet the generic ACEA A3/B4 specifications. Not sure about LL-01....
