Yo guys, I live in Cali and I've never seen GC in any stores around here. I always use M1, but am curious about GC since many of you hold it in very high regard. Do any of you know if/where it's available on the left coast? How do you tell if a bottle is GC? I've looked on the back in Wally's and other places and haven't seen anything that would so indicate.

One last ?, is GC a Gp IV oil or a hydrocracked Gp III?

Thanks!

GC is available at AutoZone. It says made in Germany on the back. In Europe it is sold as Castrol SLX. It consist of group IV and group V oils. You can search the UOA section for results.

No one knows if GC is Group anything base oils, there is a lot of guesses though.

Some "think" it is the same as SLX but no one knows.

What is known is that the oil gets pretty good UOAs in most applications.
