GC in a rebuild ford 2.3 turbo app?

Hey guys I'm new here, and I was wonderin I have a 2.3 liter turbo ford motor (Same as used in the mustang SVO, Merkur and Tbird) and the OEM fill was a 10-30.

I was wondering about usin GC in this app since I have 7 bottles of the stuff. Its kind of a warm climate here in Los Angeles, so dont know if a 0w oil is best for the daily bumper to bumper traffic driving that is mostly what I do...

Any suggestions?

GC should work well for you in your 2.3L turbo out in L.A. GC is a "thick" 30-weight oil, don't let the "0W-" scare you away from using it. At most operating temps it is thicker than many 5W-30 or 10W-30 oils.

Thx Andy, I was wondering if anyone here had a ford merkur motor and ran this stuff in it. those are hard working little turbo motors and they can get pretty toasty especially in the turbo.

Any idea what the startup viscosity is comepared to standard castrol 5/30? thats what I used for the motors break in.

I was just debating weather I should run GC or Royal Purple on my next fill
