Anyone noticed prices at A-Z for the quarts lately in the black bottle. It says edge, not syntec, and says made in Germany on the back. Price is $5.90 per quart. The rest of the quarts of any brand synthetic is +/- $10 at A-Z, and this stuff is almost half price! They had quite a lot too. I got my hands on some (syntec) from Fred's awhile back for a stock up price and fell in love with this stuff. Looking at the price of every other synthetic, this looks like a stock up price too.

German Castrol? No... GC 0w30 is an awesome PAO full synthetic, the rest of the Edge line up is Group III stuff except the 5w40 and new 0w40. But the Group III is still fine oil, the latest PQIA full synthetic study indicated plain old black bottle Edge had the highest TBN of any of the majors they compared it to.
I have two OCI's of Edge waiting on me due to AAP's recent BOGO sale, and am running the gold bottle FST Titanium in my wife's KIA. Great stuff!
