No more salt on the road, which means it’s time deep clean the Sonata! I use chemical guy ceramic wax for the exterior after a thorough clean of the paint, rims, and tires. Results are fantastic. Pictures for enjoyment. 😀 Current mileage is 55k. With an avg of under 350 miles a year for the first 6-7 years of its life- it sat in garage 99.8% of time, until I picked it up with 2700 miles in 2019. It still has the stickers on the undercarriage, and zero rust even after a few NY winters. Heres to many more years of service 🎉

If you didn't do this already, I would also clean and spray wax the door bottoms. Check also to see that all the drain holes are open and clear.

I’m not the only one then who does this! 😂 I think “where would rust like to start?” Then wipe down regularly with a high-quality spray wax with microfibers so not to scratch the paint. Cavities, nooks and crannies, weatherstripping, and even door hinges and latches will get attention.
