Man I HATE the bathrooms where you have to get the key from the cashier!

A yes, in California, but not here.

Honestly, I don't even know if the average gas station attendant has the "cheat codes" for these new vending machines up here. If it were me running a station, if I couldn't trust them to handle a normal air compressor, I sure as heck wouldn't trust them with the programming codes for an air machine.

They've thought of it. They don't use codes. They are remote controlled. It is idiot proof.
They just press a clicker, like a garage opener, and then the unit powers on for 2 minutes or whatever before it clicks off..

Exactly.. I have my own paper towels and Invisible Glass in my car. I clean my windows myself. I also clean the wiper blades too. These squeegee type wiper blades are nice but you have to keep them very clean to keep them from streaking.

As if life wasn't hard enough. Now we have to deal with contaminated window wash water too!!!

That's it. I'm going to slit my wrists with the squeegee, the next time I fill up.

Life just isn't worth living anymore...

Ah, okay, that's pretty cool. I had no idea how it would have worked. I suspected a key or a card swipe or a code or button sequence of some sort. I've never played with them much, since I have air compressors at home and at my businesses. But, I see ads for them all the time and have gotten bugged to install them.

This. Also keep some alcohol pads handy for the wiper blades.

Frequently. The place I get my coffee started locking theirs after someone took a dump on the floor of the men's room. This was two days after a woman left the remnants of the coke she snorted next to the sink.

Drugs, people having sex, prostitution, homeless people cleaning themselves, vandalism, graffiti, etc.... is the reason they have a key for restroom.

In my area, seems like the newer places that have a little convenience store and restrooms accessed from inside it are not locked...older places with outside doors into the toilets will generally have locks on them.
YMMV...
