Gas bellow $2 here!

Gas has finally dropped bellow $2/gal here in upstate SC. It's $1.99/gal at my local RaceWay.

It's dropped quite a bit here.

(Like almost .50 cents in the last 10 days)

I filled up last night for $2.01 for reg unleaded.

Diesel is $2.93! (all these Powerstroke folks around here with their jacked up outfits are not having a good time right now)

It's going to be interesting what next summer is like...

I just paid $2.09 yesterday. Also, one of the radio stations was listing prices this morning. There were several stations at $1.99.

Can I get an AMEN?!

Now I just hope it stays that way. This sure beats the heck out of $3+.

About $2.20 here. Those investigations of the oil companies had better hurry up before the price drops further and they again have almost no profit margin.

It's been 1.96 for about two weeks here already. I think this was mentioned a few weeks ago, but the oil companies have now got us all thinking that anywhere from 2.00 to 2.40 a gallon is a bargain. Their making, what, umpteen million PER DAY profit!!!!

It's been $1.99 here for a few weeks and as low as $1.95. This is for Shell & Chevron. I've seen Hess/Citgo for $1.89. I would love to see $1.75 again.

That would be easy, except for the fluxuating price of currency. Right now, the Canadian dollar is $.8375 US and 1 gal = 3.785 L, so you can multiply CDN $/L by 3.17 (3.785 x .8375) to get USD/gal.

I am paying 43% taxes per liter in Vancouver - within the GVRD (higher transit taxes).
