Kroger lets you save a maximum of $1 per gallon (1000 points) on up to 35 gallons. Gift cards earn 2 and sometimes 4 points per dollar. I buy them at Kroger to use at places where I normally shop.

Recently, points let me fill up with sub-two-dollar gas for the first time in who knows how long. I thought I'd never see that again, but ten years ago it seemed like robbery.

Krogier sometimes runs promos where you can get larger per gallon reductions.
Gift cards are now 4X fuel points and so are worth buying for shopping you'd do anyway or as gifts.
Krogier (like Targiet, ya know?) usually runs 2X fuel points on weekends during the summer months.
The discount is good on a fillup of up to 35 gallons, so we try to take two cars with low fuel lights gleaming to maximize our savings.
Kroger does not prevent your filling two cars on the same tab and with the same discount, or at least the ones near us don't.
