Full synthetic gear oil recommendations?

Amsoil makes a full synthetic 80w90. I just did my Toyota 4Runner with it and it is good quality stuff. Logon to their website and get it or find one of the Amsoil guys on here to help you. It is stocked at the Amsoil warehouse in Columbus Ohio.

That is the stuff. They sell it in quarts. It quieted my rear diff nicely. I highly recommend the amsoil gear oils as I believe they are top shelf.

I'm not sure why you won't consider a 75w-90 oil. Warranty?

I am just a stickler when it comes to things like this...if the manufacture calls for 80w90 I will run 80w90 only. I know some of you might say it wont make a difference but what if it does?

I understand why some folks may be concerned - but in reality it makes no difference. 75W has slightly lower (better) cold flow properties.

I would agree if you are talking about AMsoil gear oils. But with some others, I am suspect.

Lower Cold flow properties would also mean less oil on the gears at initial start up? A thicker oil would stick to the gears.
If we was talking about motor oil you would want the cold flow properties but I dont know about gear oil?

No, the opposite. All oils run off and "stickiness" is not a property directly related to viscosity.
