I've been searching for a GL-5 rated 90 weight gear oil although other than a 10oz. tube for O/B motors lower ends, I'm coming up empty. This is what is spec'd for my LSD rear differential on a 04 Toyota Tundra. I'd really like to use a syn fluid but I can't even find a dino fluid. Any ideas out there??

Onmo'Eegusee - thanks for the recommendation. While I think the SVG 75W-90 will work (but will need the LS additive) the SVT 75W-110 above is a better match. I usually just use what is available at the local stores + the LSD additive neede by the LSD.

Toyota diffs aren't fluid picky. But, their LSDs are definitely additive picky. I would say that most brands of fluids require an LSD-additive dosage. Lack of LSD additive is the cause of ALL those anti-synthetic posts concerning noisy rear-ends when switching fluid types.
If you work the truck, upgrading to a 110wt or 140wt is a smart move.

Amsoil ships from your local warehouse. Low cost shipping and very quick. Please order from my link or website so my funds go back to support this site. Some local dealer won't do that, nor will he likely have 75W-110.

I'm running Royal Purple 75W-90 in my Tacoma rear-end. It's thicker at higher temps than just about all other 90 weights.
I would use the Amsoil 75w110. I'm going with that in my Yukon next time around.
I am using LE 607 (SAE 90 GL5 mineral) in my 2000 Tundra rear diff. This gear oil has been reformulated and is now a synthetic blend called LE 1605 (SAE 110 GL5) now. I will either try LE 1605 or AMSOIL SVT 75W110 next. Haven't decided yet, but I have a couple of years to evaluate feedback from these two new products.
