I am thinking about using these filters next oil change . I believe they are Mfg. by Mann/Hummel in response to long life oil drain intervals that many car mfgs. are implementing (VW 503.00 etc.) These filters are designed to be used with synthetic oils to provide better filtering to protect your engine during extended OCI.Anybody have any experience with this type of filter?

hi-miler,
I just happened to notice these filters at http://www.inneraut.com. They are pretty inexpensive at $4.95. I can't locate any technical info on them so I can't say how good they might be. If they are made by Hummel+Mann I would have to say they are worth checking out. I have been using Mann for many years and consider them among the best.

cosynthetics,
Yes, the name is "Full". Yea, a strange name. Over at innerauto.com They are selling these for $4.95 for many of your imports, primarily VW/Audi. The description states they utilize a advanced filter media specifically for the extended OCI and are especially effective and efficient when combined with the use of synthetic oils. I can't find any spec info. If these are made by Hummel+Mann I just might buy a few for next few oil changes. I have been getting good UOA with the Mann 940/25 filter I currently use for my Passat 1.8T.
