Does anybody know where the fuel pressure regulator is on a 2005 Grand Prix? It has the Series III 3.8 engine. Any help would be appreciated, thanks.

Not sure... But most cars have a pressure regulator on the fuel rail that is attached to a vacuum line.
I have looked for it on the top of the motor, nothing attached to the fuel rails or fuel line coming to the fuel rails. Didnt see anything attached to a vacuum line.
You could have an advanced fuel pump that puts out more/less pressure depending on the computers request. In that case you would have a pressure sensor monitoring fuel line pressure.
An easy way to tell is with a ODB-II scanner hooked up watching the live data. If it knows the fuel pressure then you have this system.
Not sure how GM sets theirs up. Follow the fuel lines from the Fuel rail that feeds the injectors and see if it runs into a regulator...

Not sure on the GM, but it could possibly be part of the sending unit/fuel pump assembly in the tank. Look carefully at your fuel rails and see if there is both a incoming fuel line from the tank and the return line going back. If you have both lines, then somewhere under the hood is your regulator. If you do not have a return line, then the regulator is in the tank.
I have a Saturn ion with the 2.2L ecotec that is used in other GM cars. The newer ones like mine (2006) has a returnless system so there is no external regulator.

On the Series II non-supercharged 3800's it's located on the front side of the fuel rail close to the throttle body. There's a plastic vacuum line running from it to the throttle body.
3800 SIII's are likely different.

I haven't check the fuel filter design, but they are putting fuel regulators internally in the fuel filters. Jeeps do it.
