I was just about to add my 3 ounces of FP to my jeep (15 Gallon tank) and had a question. I typically don't run my gas down to empty. I usually fill up when I get down to half tank or quarter tank in a rare instance. I was wondering if I add my Fuel power before I fill up and than use up half a tank and say add 7.5 gallons of "new gas" would I just have to add 1.5 ounces of new fuel power? I want to use FP every tank but don't want to keep adding it if it doesn't mix well and I end up with a huge amount on the bottom of my tank after a few months.

Just keep the same ratio. If you add 7.5 gallons add 1.5 ounces. FP mixes very well before or after fill up.

Are you aware of the 19 gallon conversion wn1998?? I'm unsure of what year you have (I don't recall) ..but DC used the same tank and just put a deeper filler tube. In this way they just had to manufacture one tank (manufacturing costs were the same)...yet got to charge an option price for the upgrade. Allegedly a fairly easy fix.

Gary I am aware of that conversion and thought about it, but jeep Tj's are not usually found very easily in junkyards and I have seen some 19 gal tanks for sale that are new selling for $125 or more. It would be nice to get that extra 4 gallons but I do just fine with my tank. I would rather put that money towards my new gears and detroit locker that I have my eye on

No ..I believe that your YJ already has the optional 19 gallon tank in it. The only difference is the depth (length) of the filler neck. Chrysler installed the identical tank in both the 15 and the 19 gallon options.

There's a write up on it. This costs you all of a few hours (with an almost empty tank) and a few $$ to do.

I'll attempt to find it. Ah-ha!! Your 4-5 gallons is already there! Another one ..and this with pictures even!!!

(memories of snake oil sales propaganda:) "Unleash the hidden gallons locked up in your gas tank! Feel the freedom and mobility that a 19-20 gallon capacity buys you!! Pass gas station after gas station with confidence never before experienced!"

Gary,
I have a TJ. I thought you were talking about converting to the Sahara 19-20 gallon tank.
