I have a 1975 Torino with a 351W engine which has been sitting for seven years. I do not know how many times it's been started and ran, nor how old the gas is or if any additives were put in to save it. The engine turns over with the starter, very slowly, but I plan on putting in fresh oil and fuel before actually trying to start it. I also need plugs and wires and vacuum lines replaced before I go for that first start.
The tank reads 1/4 full on 27 gallon tank. If I don't have the equipment to drop the tank and flush it and the lines out, can I add a few ounces of Fuel Power, then fill the tank with fresh fuel, then try starting the engine? I may be able to blow the fuel lines clean with compressed air so the fresh fuel can flow. Also planning on emptying the float bowl and cleaning out the carburetor. Any other ideas before I get started with this project?
