fuel lines to weedwacker carb

I have a Craftsman weed wacker that stopped running soon after I took it apart.
I thought I would replace the fuel lines as a start and sure enough the lines are broken in the tank.
It seems that 2 lines go to the primer bulb and 1 to the carb....I can't tell where the little plastic double male connector (that was laying in the tank) goes or how I would even get it into the little hole in the tank.

Is the smaller diameter fuel line attached to the carb? and the 2 slightly larger fuel lines to the primer bulb?
does the line off the primer bulb just go into the tank as a vent?

Any help would be appreciated...thanks.

The primer bulb pumps air into the tank that then pushes the gas into the carb if that's any help. The filter/pickup should be laying in the tank with plenty of hose slack. I replaced mine on my chain saw last year. Getting the hose through that little hole can be a chore.

Just replaced mine on my Poulan Weedeater recently. I think I know that you mean by the double male "connector." It's clear and goes on the primer line. Rather than try and explain I'll give two youtubes to watch. First the one I used as a guide to mine, the second the sears which looks very similar in instructions but doesn't show the connector. Let me know if that doesn't answer your questions and I'll try to answer.

I believe the little joiner your talking about was to split the line in two pieces in the tank so you could change the filter line with out removing the carb. I usually Chuck them and run a whole new line from in tank filter to carb.
You will have to cut the new line at a angle and get it in the hole then fish through the gas cap hole with needle nose pliers to get hold of it and pull it down and out to attach the file filter and then pull it up through to the desired length it lays on the bottom of the tank. It's a pain and you will get frustrated and that's why you find them in the garbage all the time.

I believe the "double male connector" you describe can be seen in the first yt at 5:20 in video. It goes on the larger primer line and gets pulled firmly against the tank inside at the primer hole.

The unfortunate truth is also if it isn't explained incorrectly on YouTube, then it doesn't exist. I like to research on YouTube, but separating the wheat from the chaff is frustrating at times.

Your point is well taken but for the most part and with a little bit of searching you can find an amazing amount of good information.

Since YouTube being discussed, I'll say the first video done by DonyBoy73 was right on target for my Weedeater Featherlite. I own a different model but instructions applied perfectly.

IME it also helps to read the comments under each yt for questions/answers, alternative instructions, or anything that might have been left out.
