Fuel additives for ethanol flex fuel

Funny to think: If she had of cruised it and street raced it, it would have lived.
And Honestly, being an STi build by her father 'Mike from MotoIQ', she probably would have made some money as well.
 
No additive is going to "get rid of water" in an ethanol-laced gasoline. At best the additive increases the quantity of water held in solution where you don't see it. It still gets carried through the engine.
Probably more necessary in boats and classic vehicles which vent directly to atmosphere.
 
Techron we know to be effective since PEA is well-proven.

The ones mentioned there are the heavy oil type, I've seen shops using those (power plus, klotz, redline, etc.). Not really clear if they do much besides quiet down injectors. I think best practice is a good in-line fuel filter and pump gas every few fill-ups.
Quieting down injectors would be enough for me to use them.

Marine and aviation got exemptions to the ethanol mandate specifically due to the moisture issue.

With pure gasoline one can drain water off the bottom without any stupid additives. This is SOP for small aircraft during preflight.
 
Upper cylinder lubricants will save your valve seats from getting chewed up as well. Lake speed demonstrated benefits of top lube and referenced a university study or two on using it.

I currently use Wild Willy Top Lube since Amsoil Upper cylinder lubricant is not compatible with e85.

But not all marine uses. Here in the Milwaukee area, the Milwaukee Marina only sells E10.
