A FRAM Ultra XG10575 from my 2014 Ford Explorer with the 3.5L TiVCT V6 engine. No fanfare and none was expected. The iOLM was at 8% when I changed the oil. M1 0W-20 AFE was removed and another XG10575 and more M1 0W-20 AFE was installed. The check engine light had been coming on and going off for the past few months and in the last two UOAs, I noted there was an increase of fuel in the oil, which I initially attributed to my wife short tripping the car. I took it into Ford and the primary throttle body had to replaced, which I am going to assume was the cause of the extra fuel in the oil.

At any rate, here they are:

No; I have an extended warranty so it was just a matter of finding an opening in our schedules to take it in. It was a little "tricky" because the check engine light would come and go causing me to think it was not critical.

I remember your UOA's showing a little bit of fuel, which isn't normal for that engine. Are you getting the oil tested again? I'm curious if that throttle body did indeed fix the fuel dilution.

By the way...this is a filter thread, so thanks for sharing your filter pics! It looks just as we would expect.

Yes; I plan to test to see if the throttle body was the culprit. I had thought an injector may be involved as well, but the service tech told me if that were the case a different code would be thrown (I did not ask which codes were present).

You are quite welcome.
