Put a full covering on the pad that contacts the piston and cover the outside pad where it contacts the caliper (you can coat the whole pad if you want its just a waste of product).
Let it sit 15-20 min then install, if you do it while its still totally wet it can get displaced from where it needs to be.

Squealing is a result of vibration between the pad and caliper housing, the membrane absorbs this so no noise. If for some reason the noise remains and everything else is in good condition the only other thing I can think of is caliper to rotor misalignment.
This is a rare condition but is usually found on reman or retro fit calipers when it does appear and is easily corrected with shim stock or shim washers.

Thanks Trav, i will do this

Trav: what do you use on caliper slide pins? I like to use Sil Glyde from NAPA

In my experience, the front caliper design on the 07-16 Camry's never ever make noise with the real-OE pads (not the TCMC or TCMC Premium ones) and the factory shim kit. NBK is the original supplier of the factory pads for this particular fitment and the pads are very inexpensive. If you get the factory pads with a new shim kit, it should resolve your problem. For best results, you may also need to machine the rotors (on-car lathe only) or get new rotors to pair with the pads.

Sir: do you know the part number of the shim kit? I ordered front pads as was like $28~ my cost

Thanks in advance

Are you sure you got the correct pads? They should be #04465-33471, and retail price for them is $52.

The shim kit should be 04945-06130 and those retail for $25. Make sure you apply Molykote AS880N or M77 between the pads and the shims.

Depends how much of it you want.

If you just need a small quantity, Molykote AS880N is sold by Toyota under #08887-80609.

Make sure you machine the rotors on-car or install new premium rotors when re-doing this brake job. Otherwise the noise may not go away.

Well, i followed trav instructions and put CRC stuff on back of pads and waited, reinstalled. Quiet as a mouse now. Thanks Trav and everyone

The stuff is a vibration absorbing membrane not like RTV or grease. I have been using it since 1975 and never had a noisy brake that I used it on.

I don't use it on everything just those that don't use shims or problem pads.

FWIW I have seen people trying to cure front brake noise only to find out it was the rears making the noise,

Stupid question Trav - I thought that CRC stuff was for old-school riveted brake pads without shims but looks like it does work on modern applications as well if it's not glooped on and used like a glue between shims?

I've used the Permatex spray stuff on a friend's truck with Wagner pads, what's the difference between the CRC stuff and the spray formulations?

Yes it is an old school product but it works on modern pads also. You do not use it between the shim and metal backing but right on the shim where it contacts the caliper housing and the piston.
It is a heavy membrane that does not deteriorate, it absorbs vibration that is the root case of brake squeal. If this stuff doesn't stop it, they are either installed improperly or the pads are real trash.

The red spray works but its a much thinner film, It does stop noise but if its real bad no where near as good as the orange stuff.
I use a lot of OE pads and may put a blast of red spray on them if the car is a known squealer and there are plenty of them around, but sometimes customers either cant or wont got the long dollar for OE especially when they over $120 an axle.

Parts store house brand pads get the orange stuff regardless, it prevents comebacks.

I second travs recommendation as it worked great for me. I value travs and the critics opinion and advice. Thank you both
