How many tire shops still offer free lifetime rotate and balance with new tire purchase? In my area Big O is the only dealer that advertises it and that is only on their Big O branded tire. I know a semi-local Tire Pros location used to offer it as well.

I was really surprised WalMart offers it. Looks like I may purchase my next set of tires from them.

Wal-Mart does. In fact, I usually buy my tires online from a tire web retailer and have WM mount and balance them. Never had an issue. They rebalanced and rotated four Dunlop winter tires I have on my WRX for no charge.

Walmart, Sams Club, and Costco all do so. I think Pep Boys also has lifetime balance and rotation.

The smaller independent tire shops probably offer it too. When Tire Monkey was still around, several of the non-chain installers did say free rotations for Tiremonkey customers. What ever happened to Tire Monkey anyway?

This right here, is one of many examples of Discount Tire going beyond customer expectations.

When I bought my Outback, I wanted Discount Tire to do my rotations, as they had installed the last few sets of tires on my other cars, and I had been so pleased. I expected to pay a reasonable fee, since the tires were original equipment with the Outback. When I call to set up an appointment, they told me it was free. And it has been free since. Every 7500 miles.

Totally awesome. Name brand tires, instead of off brand or store brand tires, that you can't get valid test results on. Competitive prices. Super customer service. Did I mention free rotate and balance, even on tires that you haven't bought there?
