Frantz Transmission Adapter

Well I have decided to install my MG-30 on my sable to filter the transmission. I ordered Frantz's Transmission line adapter. My only question is if I need to remove the orfice in the MG or not?

I say that it doesn't matter in a parallel setup.

The saturation limits are the same in either case. A saturated tp roll pretty much looks like any other. One would appear more effective over shorter usage (too soon a change out time).

I'm just curious as to how how the Frantz Transmission Adapter works. Also Since the AX4S transaxle is most likely going to have a lot of fine particles I wonder what my first change schedule should be?

As often as you feel like putting in make up fluid. The roundy round should saturate the tp roll rather quickly if the fluid is that loaded. It should make many cycles in a short time period, or so I would reason. Just pick a time/mile frame and double it when you start seeing next to nothing in the tp roll. You can, naturally, use the "warm filter" method.

I think some have reported it takes about 3 rolls to get the resident fluid clean.

for my transmission I use a frantz..they told me to drill out the inlet to 3/16ths.. heck call them and ask ..other then that the adapter works great

I wonder if I would be able just to use a AMS oil BK-203 bypass mount and a Bp filter and still use the frantz adapter because I seem to have thought I had more mounting room than do. I am only wondering if the .032" orfice in the BK-203 would cause a problem when used in conjunction with the frantz Adapter?

I would think that a tp filter could be plugged without the user knowing it and that the trans would be fine. I'm sure that the adapter just provides a differential and that the added resistance could easily be trumped by a big (or not so big, maybe) cooler placed in line.
