Probably cockroaches in the electrical connections. It is a preliminary report with no definite conclusions, but contaminated fuel has pretty much been ruled out. Two (out of four) generators were running as planned and continued to run, but main circuit breakers tripped repeatedly.
Breakers can be out of spec and cause tripping. I'd wager that more than anything else.Probably cockroaches in the electrical connections.
I read the report and 2 different breakers, one high voltage and one there calling low voltage - which I think was 440AC - both tripped. The way I read it LR1 was on the opposite side of step down transformers from HR1. Voltage spike maybe?Breakers can be out of spec and cause tripping. I'd wager that more than anything else.
Looks to have taken out a rail bridge?Looks like another bridge in Houston got hit with a barge...
There is some pillar damage underneath. I am sure it will be shui down for awhile..
Possible, we have a low voltage break at work that feeds 6 rooftop units off the step-down transformer. If the power flickers or some sort of transient happens it always kicks off. It is the highest load in the building at that time on a single breaker so I can only assume that is why.I read the report and 2 different breakers, one high voltage and one there calling low voltage - which I think was 440AC - both tripped. "About 0125, the Dali was 0.6 miles—or three ship lengths—from the Key Bridgewhen electrical breakers (HR1 and LR1) that fed most of the vessel’s equipment andlighting unexpectedly opened (tripped)"
