Fram xg2 Possible Tear?

Filter has 5000 miles on it. 95 Ford f250. 199.000 miles. 5.8l...

Gonna either go to the titanium or the new 25 thousand miles fram from wallyworld. Also 5w30 quaker state synthetic was used the last oil change

Looks like the oil is filtering the media

Sorry guys when I first got the filter out I touched the filter media and I could of swore it was torn. But it's not torn. It just looked like it was my bad. Still pretty sad considering the pleat spacing and glue coming off the endcap

Well, at least that shows the media may be tougher than expected. If it was going to tear, it would have done it with those super wide pleats.

Thanks for the correction & clarification. I didn't think there was any tears but sometimes it takes a double look.

Yeah I just tried to pry the media where I thought it was torn and it held without tearing so it's definitely a tough media still

"XG" in XG2 means it's a Fram Ultra.

So it’s a pretty good filter.
