Fram XG16 - 6000 miles cut open

Fram "OG" Ultra XG16 from my 1998 Jeep Wrangler 4.0L, used for (2) 3,000 mile OCIs over 2 years with Valvoline Maxlife synthetic 5w30. Looks pretty good, some wide pleat spacing near the seam, but no issues. Filter was still very full of oil when removed. It was replaced with Maxlife 5w30 and a Fram TG16.

Shortened version of the XG8A if clearance is a problem for some vehicle makes/models.

Solid filter OP, truly the goat of oil filters.

Plenty of holes ... did a dP vs flow on a 7317 and the dP was very low. The base plate has more dP than the center tube.

Problem is finding Fram Titaniums with the pink media is becoming more rare but also since the newest stock is 2 years old and oldest 4 years old likely to be rust prone.

Stop hating. Just because my Rural King had CG ULTRA WIRE BACKED clearanced didn’t mean I sleep and miss out. I have enough clients that can use them. Also plenty of eBay ones I scored cheap.
