Fram TG16 - 2000 miles on my Jeep 4.0L in my Wrangler. I replaced the timing chain, sprockets, and cover gaskets 2000 miles ago, and wanted to do a short OCI to get out any junk that got inside the engine while I did this work. The filter looks good, which is kind of expected for such a short run. Not much debris in the pleats, there is a little in the can, I had a magnet on the outside. I dented the filter pretty good removing it, it wasn't real tight but it is hard to get a wrench on it since I mounted a coolant filter right above the oil filter. I used Maxlife 10w30 with this OCI, and a Fram XG16 and Maxlife Syn 5w30 went back in.

Someone else just posted this part number I've never heard of before lol
It does look good for the short run but as you well know there may be spike in metal from the engine work that doesn't show up as sooty oil. Was the 10w-30 not a synthetic? Is that why you went w/5w-30 this time? Great pictures.

Standard (old school) Jeep filter. I wonder if you could get an XG8A on it, that's what I ran on my '08 Cherokee-might be able to go 3 or 4 OCIs without changing it, and OG Ultras in that size seem to still be available,

This filter was common on a lot of Chrysler vehicles. The previous oil was Maxlife syn blend 10w30 that I had on the shelf, I typically just run 5w30 synthetic in this Jeep, but figured conventional or syn blend would be perfect for a short run like this.

I did run a few PH8A sized filters on my old Cherokee XJ, but that filter won't fit on this setup, as the filter is angled down towards the frame rail on this year Jeep TJ.
