Where was the competitive analysis or study that proves this point? Would be interesting to see.

Grease's filter study that was conducted by Schultz from PALL Filtration. The site is down ..has been for a long time.

Not that they were "bad". Just not as fine as others. Wix is in the same boat. They don't really push fine filtration ..or at least I would not buy them for that feature.

My walmart suck, dont carry the XG30 for my car. They dont carried any high performing filter for my car at all, only [censored] ph30.

Holding capacity is my feature of choice.

what you mean, holding more oil ? or bigger oil filter ?

He means able to hold more dirt in the media before it starts clogging up the filter.

I'm getting the impression that you're looking for a high performance (we need a definition here) filter ...CHEAP. The two terms usually cannot be applied to the same component.

We're often left with seeking "value". Value can only be measured in what you get out ..for what you put in.

What's your driving profile? What's your typical OCI in terms of mileage and/or time?

If you tell us these things, we may be able to aid you in reaching your "eureka!" state.

Hey Gary ! Im actually dont mind paying high dollar for a filter. I try many filter , the most expensive filter I ever bought was RP 20+ dollar, I like it alot but that was only 1 time cause I have no Pepboy around here, and its 8+ hours away from me. I bought it from a trip. anyway to answer your question.

I drive my camaro pretty aggressive, racing to high speed highway, only time I drive like grandma is when the road is wet. I change my oil is depend, 3 month or 3k up to 5k miles, depend if I racing it or track it then I change it early. If I drive normal I change every 3k to 5k. btw if I change oil at 3k I leave oil filter like ( RP or KN ) until next oil change, if wix or pure 1 I change it out every oil change.

and about motorcraft most my family own a ford ( I dont know why, im not a ford man hehe ). And I change their oil for em, and ALWAY motorcraft filter from walmart $3.45, that how I get use to motorcraft and love it if I found for my camaro, but I would pay for any price for filter just to try at lease one time, I could find this fram XG30 any where, walmart, napa, advance auto, autozone, oreilly...... if any thing else pls ask garry.

Walmart here stopped carrying the Mobil 1 filters and now stock the Fram XG as a high end equivalent in their view. Looks like a solid filter and I am running one right now with PU.

I dont think I can get my hand on fram XG, I went to autozone and advance autopart and make a special order on this filter, and none of them can order it, my friend ask me to take him to this walmart 1 hours away, and I did, first thing I went was checking the oil filter section, and they carry alot oil filter then my other 4 walmart, but none XG30 for my camaro. But now I just have alot K&N oil filter that last me few year.

The K&N is better, in my opinion, anyway. The XG is good but I wouldn't go out of my way to get it.

Sounds like a daily driver that's occasionally raced but driven in a spirited manner a decent amount. OCI's are of sensible length for what you do to it.

The K&N's would probably be the best choice, though I really don't see anything wrong with any of your other choices.
