Yep, this one doesn't look too bad. OP should do a light leak test to see it's it's actually a "leak spring".

One year and three months or so earlier than the one I bought and cut open. This one looks better. Now I suppose you can listen how the MSL bypass valve does in comparison, if anything, sitting out in Michigan in the winter.

I can just picture that song playing over the Walmart loud speakers as someone is cutting the box seal on an oil filter to inspect the filter before use. That was the original focus of that old post you remember, lol.

I tested 2 that were made in Aug 2022 (9 months earlier than this one) and they both leaked.
