This is an oldie, wire backed filter, but it doesn't have the gasket between the leaf spring and the end cap. Made in 2023.
Came off a 2011 Honda Accord with 180k miles. About 8k miles on this run. No ruffles on this one.

Off/Out: Fram Titanium FS7317, Pennzoil Platinum 0W-20
On/In: Mobil 1 filter and some more PP 0W-20

The protrusions are not on the leaf spring in that model, makes a difference. As long as the protrusions on this don’t go above the sealing ring they don’t keep the spring from seating.

Glad to see the PP doing some cleansing 👍

Nice photos too, Thank You

How come fram doesn’t add that seal gasket so it prevent leak . Why they change . I don’t get it . They knew this !! It just bug me they doing so well with the ultra/endurance and they turn around and mess it all up, thinking peoples doesn’t know anything about it.

Im still going to use the tg and ultra as they are better than the dealership blue Honda filters. Im almost to 400,000 and I can say that nothing is perfect, but changing just the oil out every 5k and good preventative maintenance is about as good as it's ever going to get. I mostly use Napa Gold, Fram Ultra or P1/Boss

I wouldn’t/wont touch a modern ULTRA. TITANIUM that’s wire backed yes I’d use.
