Thanks again for the elaborate c&p. 👍👍

For the cost and relatively low miles you use these for I'm not at all impressed. Nobody cares but I don't see the value in these. The oil you use has a longer service life than the filters. That's sad.

Sad thing is, a Premium Guard would look better for ~1/4 the price. Good pics though, and clean!

Nice pictures and good cut and post. I appreciate it 👍🇺🇸🍺

First it was "flow over efficiency" ... but the new BITOG mantra is "looks over functionality" - aka the centerfold syndrome. 😄
again, it isn’t looks over functionality. it’s moving to a filter i’m not worried about tearing. either CQ premium or fram endurance.

No proof that properly spaced wavy pleats tear ... basically just paranoia, but everyone has the right to be paranoid about something. ;) 🙃

Warning, addressing the elephant in the room: What a joke this "Upgrade" was supposed to be. When a new company buys another you usually see them infuse money to improve things but this Trico co. really went against everything Fram worked its way up to. Sadly the vision of this new owner is cutting quality. The Ultra was not broken. It needed no changes. Yes, this filter lost its centerfold debut spotlight period.

@Brendan Excellent pics & we appreciate all the filters that are posted regardless.

I'd rather use a high efficiency filter with wavy pleats than an inefficient rock catcher with straight pleats. Function over beauty any day. Had the same viewpoint many years ago when I used those wavy Purolator PureOnes. :D
