Almost to be the same, with apparent slightly better single-pass efficiency.
It appears to be the same SPE =96%.
Maybe it is Canada only to raise the price

BTW, the 'basic' FRAM has SPE=96% also. My take is filtration is same as basic but better holding capacity with synthetic media.
Unless you need holding capacity 'and' more robust construction for longer OCI, I prefer the ToughGuard with MPE =99% for better filtration <note: uses cardboard end caps like basic FRAM). Read the boxes carefully to compare, sorry I don't remember SPE and I recall MPE is 10-20um putting right up there. Not EaO class but less expensive & readily available here in States.
